Vincent Dumez: "The patient: an essential partner in healthcare, education and research"

Mr. Vincent Dumez has been the co-Director of the Collaboration and Patient Partnership Unit at the Faculty of Medicine of University of Montreal since 2013.
Mr. Dumez's skills and experience as a leading advocate for patient and family engagement in healthcare helps several Canadian health institutions to advancepatient engagement and partnership.
Mr. Dumez worked for more than a decade as a strategic consultant for large enterprises undergoing transformations. Mr. Dumez has advanced the concept of patient partners by training patients with chronic diseases on self-management techniques, working on the boards of community organizations and speaking at healthcare conferences. Mr. Dumez has been working in his current capacity at the University of Montreal since 2010. Until 2010, he was an associate in one of Montreal's most influential consulting firms, specializing in organizational design.
